Outdoor Thrill!

And if you want a double dosage of adrenaline, go sand-boarding on toboggans and surf the sand dunes at Little Sahara. The list of exhilarating adventure on the island includes paddling a double or single kayak along the relaxing Harriet River. There’s an outdoor activity for everyone, regardless of ages and abilities. Sign up with Kangaroo Island Outdoor Action to start your adventure.

Self Driving

This is a must for any self-drive tourist. Subscribe to Island Intrigue to receive an audio tour of Kangaroo Island – just like having your own local guide in the car with you! With Island Intrigue you are free to go where you want and when you want, while learning about the best that Kangaroo Island has to offer during your exploration. The English speaking audio tour is available to purchase as a CD pack from the Kangaroo Island Gateway Information Centre at Penneshaw, or can be downloaded from the Island Intrigue website to use on your iPod, iPhone, Walkman or chosen player.

Scuba Diving

Looking for new places to dive? Check out Kangaroo Island Dive and Adventures, a five star Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) dive centre that offers guided shore based and boat based SCUBA diving experiences. Some dives occur in the remote, wild north coast of Kangaroo Island – home to some of the world’s best temperate water diving. Guests are picked up from Western River Cove and transported to the dive sites where they have the opportunity to get up close to Australian Sea Lions and New Zealand Fur Seals. Between dives, participants can enjoy lunch while watching the Wedge Tail Eagles spiral lazily above the 100 metre cliff that forms the back drop to your experience. Sounds good?
