Me@OUE, Singapore’s leading open-kitchen-concept restaurant and lounge, will deliver feverish tastes of Halloween festivities this October with a focus on bright bold pumpkin, squash and orange flavours and colours.
Prepared by Me@OUE’s Executive Consulting Chef, Jérémy Gillon, each dish has all the hallmarks of his unique style – the varied textures, elegance and innovative culinary techniques.
Available from Monday, October 26th till Saturday, October 31st, the four-course menu is priced at $125++ per person.
To start their meal, diners can dive into the velvety Pumpkin Velouté – this gorgeous orange broth will be topped with plump crab ravioli and finished with crunchy peanut praline and a dribble of basil oil. Chef Gillon’s, again delivers distinct textures in this classic dish – the smoothness of the soup and the contrasting crunch of the praline.
The second course follows closely with a slice of tender John Dory, delicately placed on a creamy butternut squash purée. Slivers of butternut squash drapes the piece of fish and is finished with a hint of orange and juniper sauce. 2 Roasted to perfection is the third course. The Roasted Quail is juicy in the inside with well-seasoned crisp skin. The flavours of this incredible dish is elevated with a serving of braised pumpkin cooked down with pomegranate and topped with arugula vinaigrette. The presentation of the dish by Chef Gillon makes it an edible piece of art!
In line with Me@OUE’s elegant and innovative selection of desserts, the light and foamy Hazelnut Waffles is stunning. Served with butternut espuma and home-made ice-cream, this dessert is almost too pretty to eat! One bite of this though, will have guests asking for more.
