Looking for a place to enjoy Italian cuisine? Look no further. Come down to Ricciotti now!
We had Caprese Salad ($14.50) as appetiser and it consisted of Mozzarella cheese with tomatoes and fresh basil.
It was a very light and refreshing dish. For convenience of eating, I separated the cheese and the tomatoes and ate them individually. One can choose to eat them together. The taste was simple and piqued my appetite. If you would like to order this dish, you can consider sharing with friends.
For our main course, we had Fettuccine Bolognese ($55.00 sharing portion for 3-4 pax). In this dish, there was fettuccine with beef ragu sauce.
The Bolognese had a different texture compared to the other pasta I have eaten. It was comparatively soft and the taste of the pasta is very flavourful. When you taste it, you will know that it is authentic Italian cuisine. There is no dispute over this. An explanation for this is that the chef is Italian and he is very experienced in cooking Italian cuisine, so it is no wonder that the dishes taste authentic.
I learned that the ingredients used are of high quality and the dishes do not rely on the toppings to give flavour but rather aim to bring out the natural taste and flavour of these ingredients.
Italian cuisine is not complete without… pizza of course! Introducing the Pizzotto Pizza. (9” costs $16.00 and 12” costs $23.50) The ingredients included bacon, mushrooms, egg, pomodoro and mozzarella.
The pizza was a great addition to the Bolognese. As explained earlier, the dishes served at Ricciotti aim to bring out the flavour of the ingredients used and in this pizza, the taste of the mushrooms and bacon are brought out and it is really tasty.
The most important course of the meal is none other than dessert! Among the desserts we had, I enjoyed the Panna Cotta the most ($5.90 per piece). A silky vanilla cream pudding with seasonal fruit sauce, it was certainly yummy.
This was my personal favourite. I like sweet desserts but sometimes they can be too sweet. I highly recommend Panna Cotta, especially to guys because the degree of sweetness is just right.
I am sure you must be curious about who is the one who cooked up all these awesome Italian cuisine. Introducing to you Chef Gero! His style of cooking is one that is simple and light and his ability to transform simple ingredients into exquisite tasting Italian fare explains why customers keep coming back for more.
